WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 38 MM AND 42 MM?
The thinner the pole the easier it is to grip. If you have small hands, then the thinner pole is a better option.
Most competition poles are either 42 mm or 45 mm.
If you are planning on competing, then we suggest you get a 42 mm pole, as it is easier to work on a thinner pole if you have been training on a thicker one.

What finish should i get?
We currently only have powder coated poles. Because our tubes come as one length they are higher than most chrome baths, which are 2 m.
If we do get chrome poles we will let you know.
Powder coating is great because it doesn't chip or peel and makes your pole less slippery than mild or stainless steel.

What is the maximum weight capacity?
Weight is not a problem, throwing your weight at the pole at an angle is the problem.
We have had 5 people on one pole at the same time with no issues.
Having said that, there is a ceiling height to weight ratio that is ideally less than 100 kg. The poles can take up to 120 kg. If you are heavy with the pole i.e trying to pull it out of the ceiling, then it is more likely to shift than if you rather move your body around the pole (also more energy efficient).

It is always safer to secure the pole. Although it pushes up against the ceiling, the pole can still come loose. Your roof expands in the heat during the day, and contracts in the evening. Because the pole is a mechanical object, it doesn't have a hydraulic system.
If a pole does come down, it is always from the top. It is only necessary to secure the top bearing into the ceiling.
The bearing has 4 holes to allow for concrete plugs or wood screws. If you move house, the screws will leave small holes which can be touched up with filler easily and will be unnoticeable.

will the pole damage the ceiling or the floor?
The pole will not leave marks or damage the ceiling. If you have a normal ceiling board, please make sure you attach it to where the rafter is. You will see rows of nails where the ceiling board is nailed to the rafters. If you are going to screw the bearing into the rafter, you can use 2 wood screws, and place the bearing diagonally across the rafter.
The pole can be placed on any flat surface. Tiles, laminate, wood and carpet are all fine. Loose rugs and mats are not safe.

What if i move?
You can have your pole cut lower, or you can buy an extension for the pole. Please keep in mind that the poles are locally made and the inner diameter is not perfectly symmetrical. Sometimes the extensions don't fit properly because of manufacturing differences. In this case we will need your pole in order to make the extension the correct diameter.

Poles are made to order because we cut them to fit your ceiling height. Orders take about 2 weeks to make up.

how Difficult is it to install?
There is an installation video to help you, but you can install the pole yourself. The pole comes with installation instructions.
If you are going to bolt it to the ceilng, you will need a ladder, either wood screws, or concrete screws with plugs, and a screwdriver.
Putting up the pole takes less than a minute, of which most of the time is making sure it is straight.
Taking it down is even quicker.

how do you make it spin?
There is a bolt at the bottom of the pole. When you remove it the pole will spin. To make it static, just put the bolt back in.
